Tool Library

Our Tool-lending Library program provides members access to more than 4,800 hand and power tools for DIY projects, helping individuals and nonprofit organizations better care for their homes and gardens. With a variety of low-cost memberships to choose from, the Tool Library is your go-to source for all the tools you need, as often as you need them. Tool Library Individual Memberships

If you live, work, or worship in Franklin County and are a homeowner, or have written permission from a property manager/landlord to make home improvements or repairs, you’re eligible for membership. Join the Tool Library today!

Individual Memberships (single-Property Owner)

$50 – Individual (Annual Membership)*

$25 – Student / Educator / Senior / Veteran (Annual Membership)*

$15 – Special Project (30-Day Membership)*

*Not eligible for multi-property owners

$50 (first property) + $25 (each additional verified property) (Annual Membership)

Home Ownership Sustainability Program (Pay What You Can Membership)*

Our Home Ownership Sustainability Program is for any individuals that may not be able to contribute the full amount of our regular membership fees. Please fill out the application below and submit your income paperwork to join us with a donation based membership.

Please be prepared to submit proof of income with your application:

  • 6 Consecutive Weeks of Paystubs

  • Social Security Award Letter

  • Previous Year - Tax Return

  • OPERS (Or Other Pension) Award Letters That Show Gross Income

  • If No Income, Completed Affidavit

All documents can be sent to ToolLibrary@ModconLiving.org or dropped off at our warehouse during Tool Library open hours.

Renter/Tenant Membership

If you’re a renter or tenant, the property owner must provide written authorization for your membership.

An individual at the same address of a current Tool Library member may apply for a discounted yearly membership rate of $5.


Tool Library Organization Memberships

We welcome nonprofits, registered 501(c)(3) organizations, community gardens and teachers to join the Tool Library!
