Modcon Living Celebrates Recovery with Giving Tuesday
Modcon Living has undergone significant reorganization and administrative changes over the past 18 months, and we are excited to share our successful recovery with the community.
Despite this season of reorganization and recovery, our Safe at Home Program served approximately 60 homes with an average investment of $3,500 per home during this period. Our Tool Library provided access to more than 1,200 unique tools for seniors, veterans, nonprofit organizations, and people with disabilities. And, our Mod Squad program is currently being reimagined and will relaunch in a new form soon.
During this time, we welcomed a new executive director, Denise Nembhard, who brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit and faith-based sectors to her new role.
Denise’s vision for the next two years includes expanding partnerships with community organizations for workforce development, collaborating with corporate partners to deliver home repairs, and revitalizing our Mod Squad social enterprise to support the Safe at Home program.
Right now, Denise is committed to serving the 200 homeowners currently awaiting repairs or accessibility modifications through Safe at Home.
Modcon Living’s services are vital to the City of Columbus and Franklin County in its efforts to improve health outcomes, reduce home insecurity, and prevent homelessness and displacement.
Our goal is to strengthen neighborhoods, one home at a time.
And, with your help this November leading up to Giving Tuesday on December 2, we can do it.
We invite you to make a donation to help us address the urgent needs of homeowners through our Safe at Home program, and corporate sponsorships count toward our $75,000.
Sponsorship start at $1,000, and we’d love to welcome you to our community of supporters.
